Make a Donation

Donations

Patchwork accepts good useable equipment, hay, grain, and things you might not expect. Horses that are ridable can be donated as well.

Our process is simple:

Have your horse appraised or get a value on your horse.
Fill out our donation sheet.
Call and have one of our staff come and evaluate your horse.
Send your horse for a 30 day assessment period.

Not every horse will work for therapeutic riding. Horses of a calm naure, reasonable sound, not over 25 years of age, and not real big work the best. Although we would "LOVE" to keep each and every horse donated, horses are frequently farmed out or even SOLD after the initial period if they are not suitable.

As with larger organizations such as Cornell U., Morrisville, or other places, you release all rights to your animal when you place it with us. We will be glad to keep you posted, but overall, it will be our animal. We do have a "list" of homes that are looking for older companion horses.
