Lessons Lessons are offered Monday through Saturday with hours starting as early as 8:30. If you have a need, we can fill it. We offer western, english, and beginning jumping. We have two major instructors and several "helpers" for the wee folks. Lessons generally last 45 minutes with 15 minutes allowed for grooming. Everyone is encouraged to help groom and saddle their horses. We realize that people learn to ride for many different reasons. Whether your goal is competition, recreation, or gaining a thorough knowledge of the art of horsemanship, we will design a riding lesson program to suit your individual needs. We offer riding instruction and coaching from novice though advanced, from pleasure riding through local showing. Our aim is to provide riders with the necessary skills to realize their goals and a safe, supportive environment where both horse and rider can enjoy the many benefits and pleasures of this wonderful sport. Rider Registration 2008Because our primary concern is the safety and well being of both rider and horse, students at Patchwork learn a strong foundation of basics. Developing a secure seat, good hands and effective use of the aids enables our riders to meet most riding situations with security, control and confidence, and provides the basis for all further learning. Good communication between horse and rider is key in establishing an effective working relationship. Our system is designed to equip riders with the knowledge and skills to pursue their goals and meet challenges with assurance and safety.
Schedule at this time planned for 2008 include Team Sorting Lessons on some evenings with Bob Aichele, bring your own horse, or ride ours, cattle available here. Evening lessons and some days are available. Saturday all day! Call for your 2008 rider forms today. Camp schedule for 2008 is available on line under our summer camp page. |
